The African Entrepreneurship Prize Distinction was Established in 2019 in Paris during the second international meeting of the International Committee of Excellence (ICE), this distinction aims to salute the exceptional course of the entrepreneurs on the one hand, and on the other hand, the initiatives and actions in favor of entrepreneurship on the continental level during the year.
It is good to note that, eligible candidates are those of natural persons or organizations of established reputation which have distinguished themselves, particularly by their spirit of ingenuity on the one hand, and on the other hand, by achievements concrete actions in favor of entrepreneurship at the sub-continental level during the year.
The choice of the winner is made among the candidates submitted or proposed by credible persons or institutions, enjoying good morality and having a perfect knowledge of the personality or the institution evaluated continentally.
Applications are assessed on the basis of the following criteria:
- Vision and entrepreneurial spirit of the winner
- Concrete actions and achievements in favor of entrepreneurship
- Personal and professional competence of the laureate
- The exceptional entrepreneurial journey of the laureate
- A strong vision of the winner for Africa
The 2021 African Entrepreneurship Prize was given to Professor Victor Mbarika to recognize and salute his actions and achievements in favor of entrepreneurship and his exceptional entrepreneurial journey that has aroused particular admiration within the panel of the jury of ICE.
